Cottage Grove Gives Outstanding Community Partner Award to Werner Electric

Cottage Grove, MN – Aug. 10, 2017 – The Cottage Grove City Council presented an Outstanding Community Partner award to Werner Electric at their Aug. 9 meeting. Werner Electric was recognized for their assistance and cooperation during the construction of the temporary water treatment facility at Well 10, which is located next to the company.

The company allowed the City to construct a portion of the Well 10 treatment facility on its property without seeking financial compensation. The Council also noted Werner Electric’s cooperation and flexibility during the installation of the treatment facility, which required traffic changes, temporary road closures, lane shifts, and utility construction. City Council credited the success of the prompt construction and completion of the facility, which in turn allowed the watering ban to end on August 1, to this understanding and assistance.

Gerry Thomas, finance director for Werner Electric, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
