Gambling (Single Occasion)

Only registered nonprofit organizations may conduct raffles, bingo, and other forms of lawful gambling according to Minnesota law. If you are a registered non-profit organization and would like to hold a lawful gambling event in the City of Cottage Grove, download an application (PDF). The completed application and fee made payable to the City of Cottage Grove should be submitted to:

 Once the application is approved by the City Council the LG220 Application and fee will be mailed by the City Clerk to the State of Minnesota.  Forms must be submitted within 30 days of the event or an additional fee is charged.  

Application Process

Incomplete applications cannot be processed and will be returned. Complete applications must undergo a background check and then be acted upon by the Cottage Grove City Council at their next regularly scheduled meeting (generally the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month) before a permit can be issued.
