Commercial Inspections
Commercial property inspections are done on a regular basis through the City. The City has contracts with St. Paul Park and Newport to do commercial inspections, site plan review, sprinkler system testing, and other aspects to the inspection process.
Commercial Day Care Inspections
Prospective child care center operators must contact the child care licensing agency (county or state) for a site inspection prior to requesting a site visit by the Fire Inspector, which is required prior to licensure [MN Rules 9503.0155, sbp.2].
Residential Day Care & Foster Care Inspections
The Fire Inspector will conduct inspections at the site of in-home daycare/foster care facilities for the Washington County Child Care Licensing Office. The inspections ensure proper safety for everyone in the home and to educate the child care provider on proper fire safety rules and regulations.
