Fire Prevention and Safety Tips

Warm weather is finally here! While we're all excited to make plans to enjoy some time outdoors with family and friends, our firefighters want to remind you to review rules and tips that can keep you safe. If you're going to have a "backyard fire" or you're going to fire up the grill, take a moment to review the following materials:

Fireworks

There’s a reason fireworks that explode or fly into the air are illegal in Minnesota. They’re unpredictable and dangerous. And kids are most often the ones who suffer.

Programs for Residents

The Department provides a number of Fire Prevention, Arson Awareness and Education programs for residents. These include fire extinguisher training, juvenile fire setter classes, fire escape, presentations and grade school programs.
