Councilmember Tony Khambata was sworn-in at the beginning of the November 17th City Council Meeting. Khambata takes the place of La Rae Mills who stepped down from the Council in October and says he is excited to get started. His experience will certainly help him jump right in; Tony has served on the City of Cottage Grove’s Planning Commission since 2017 and is the Commission’s current Chair. He has also been a member of the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce since 2016, as well as a contributing member to several other boards in the surrounding area. Tony prides himself as a third generation Cottage Grove resident, Park High School graduate, small business owner, and property manager. Tony lives in Cottage Grove with his wife and two children and is a passionate housing advocate and committed to community outreach.
