Vendors new and old will be serving up fresh treats at the Cottage Grove Chamber Spring Business Showcase this year.

Chamber Director Jennifer Wenshau said there are a handful of new vendors – including Junction 70 Grill, Von Hanson’s Meats and Hy-Vee – and those returning are Bonngard’s Family Meats, Culver’s, Perkins and Cub Foods.

The location of the food vendors who will be located on the upper level of the arena.  The decision was based on logistics.  The upper level has ample room and electrical outlets that make food preparation and service much easier.  An added plus is more space on the event floor, providing more booth space for additional exhibitors.

Food offerings at the Showcase will be for sale this year. Based on shared experiences of both the Chamber and past food vendors, all felt a minimal charge will assure offerings bring a higher value to the Showcase visitors.  Costs are expected to be set at $5 and under.

Visitors to the 2018 Chamber Showcase will have the opportunity to experience the “Longest Drive Contest” with Edwards Plumbing’s new SkyTrak 1st Person Golf Simulator.  Being the first personal launch monitor of its kind, SkyTrak is a realistic, real-time golf practice system which accurately captures and displays launch data and ball flight within seconds from impact of your shot.  It gives you instant data on flight track, path, spin and speed.

Contest prizes will be awarded for longest drive for both female and male participants.  River Oaks Golf Course is teaming up with Edwards Plumbing with a chipping and putting contest.

New entertainment will feature a bounce house from Sky High Inflatables, pinball and arcade games from Vintage Gameroom LLC, and open skating in the second arena from 11:45am to 12:45pm.
